Agreed. I racked up 250+ hours on Fallout 3, more if you count the countless hours of fucking around with the G.E.C.K for the PC version. I am sure I will be able to top that, New Vegas just seems "bigger". Judging by the story line related cheevos it seems that the main plot is going to much longer as well. Good thing, Fallout 3's main plot ended far to quickly.

I am like 2 cheevos away from 100% on Fallout 3

But yeah this game is insane, I have been spending most of my time just scouring the wastes finding locations and what not, I have not really even touched the story line yet or actually made it into New Vegas. I did discover that there is a Deathclaw spawning ground literally a few miles from where you start the game lol. Shit my self when I stumbled in there at lvl 2 . There is also a Feral Reaver spawn very close by, yet an other ugly situation

I've spent 7 hours just walking around looting stuff and finding different locations. This game is huge.

I've only been to goodsprings, primm, the city after that and before novac, and then the mail place.

Ha! thats awesome. But I heard some rumors that New Vegas's ending is like Fallout 3's/No DLC. Meaning the game stops until DLC is loaded......

When doing this quest, the one where you have to reactivate the Helios Power Plant, if you choose option 5 when distrubting power (Overload the Grid ALL REGIONS) then you can keep reporting to Ignacio and repeatedly get the quest reward (360 EXP, 3 Stimpaks, 2 Doctors Bags).

I brought myself up to lvl 15 from 10 this way. Did not want to over do it cause that takes all the fun away, just wanted to get that edge

Wow that was fast. Already released a patch to fix this inf xp glitch as well as a few inf caps glitches.

as awesome as this game is, it obviously was not ready to be shipped, i'm gonna put this away for now and hopefully they patch it up so i wont get stuck in random rocks or geometry

The terrain does have issues, but I partially think that they were trying to fix some of the "shortcut" like clipping glitches you could do in Fallout 3. I would rather get stuck every now again then be able to hover 10 feet off a rock ledge lol

But yeah agreed the game is still very buggy, but there is really no other way to find all the bugs in a game this large then to release it. Beta testers could replay this for years and still not find all the bugs the general public found in a matter of a week.

If you want to use the inf XP/Caps glitches and have already downloaded the patch then simply clear your HDD's cache and load New Vegas, when prompted to DL the update select no, you will see an error stating that some DLC may no work right. Ignore, load your game preform the glitch and save. Once saved, sign out so New Vegas gets returned to the home screen, sign in and you will be prompted again to DL the patch. Do it and load up your game. Presto Changeo glitch applied.

right now im stuck at a part at he new vegas strip where the NCR are just flooding in and trying to kill me and for some reason my own bots are trying to kill me too, like like i walk out of the door and im being hit with lasers and rushed into a wall by ncr trying to beat me to death I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I DID TO PISS THEM OFF i did the thing john said earlier to take control and im accepted with the ncr

im prob gonna load from an earlier save and do that xp glitch though

heh I am lvl 18 and I have not even stepped foot on the strip yet lol. I have pretty much the entire SW of the map discovered and good chunk of the SE. I am currently doing quests for the BHoS to get Power Armor Training. Then will head in to the strip and make everyone there my bitch lol.

Again you will need to clear your HDD's cache before this Glitch will work and you will need to find a Sheriff for Primm.

After a few days they will open the Viki and Vance casino. Once open you can go and buy chips from the cashier at the far end of the casino. If the patch has not been applied you can then sell back the chips without them being removed from your inventory. Repeat until a sufficient amount of caps is reached. I got 100,000 within a minute.

Once done, save, exit, sign out, then back in, apply the patch at the title screen and load your save. Presto 100,000 caps

Yeah the factions are very buggy, one little thing at the wrong time and they turn on you. When I first found the BHoS at Hidden Valley I stole a key card from one of the guards when speaking with their Elder. They sent me out on a quest and were Neutral according to my PipBoy but everytime I went to report after finishing the quest they would be all normal at the gate and let me in then start attacking me for no reason. I had to reload an old save and do it again without stealing the key card.

It could also be what you are wearing, NCR have attacked me before because I was wearing Ranger gear looted from a dead body.....

Hopefully new patches will fix faction issues as well.
