Re: E3
Anyone know where I can find a Microsoft conference stream?
I would like to watch that before I dive into Sony's.

Am I the only one not getting worked up over this whole E3 business?

I agree with Drag on the new PSP. It's pricey, has a rather short battery life, bulky, and I would much rather be playing my games on a big TV screen.

Re: E3
i never see anyone whip out a DS or a PSP on the train here, everyone is usually glued to a phone or tablet which are built for multiple things and not just gaming
how many people can afford $299.99 + a data plan on top of whatever data and phone package they have

Re: E3
Personally I love e3. Such a geek when it comes to games.
Basically the list of games I wanted to get stayed the same with the addition of Halo 4 and Halo:CE remake.
So now my list goes like this:
Halo 4
Halo CE Anniversary
Battlefield 3
Modern Warfare 3
Gears of War 3
Assassins Creed Revelations
Ghost Recon Future Soldier
Fifa 12
and possibly minecraft for kinect. I dunno, need to see more of it first.

Re: E3
So from what ive read on IGN sonys press conference was pretty average too. Not a great deal to see other than things we already new about. Alot of handheld stuff, few HD remakes, move and ps3 exclusives.
Pretty much on par with ms. Microsoft probably edges it a little with the introduction of a new dash, partners for xbox, live tv and the new halo games.

I hope nintendo comes in and kicks some ass and shows off the project cafe.
All I want from project cafe is hdmi, affordable price, and a super smash bros launch title.

Re: E3
Ok here we go.
It's called the...ugh...Wii U (I'm just gonna call it the U).
Here's the controller and the console, which is at least as powerful as the current gen. Reggie confirmed that it runs at full 1080p.
High definition display, up to 1080p resolution via HDMI output
6.2" touchscreen on New Controller, running in non-HD resolution
Internal flash-based media storage, upgradeable via USB and SD carts
Games ship on proprietary iDensity discs of unspecified, but "large capacity"
Games will also be available as downloadable content
Console compatible with Wii games and devices
Release date between April 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012; or after the end of Nintendo's fiscal year
And most importantly, it has 3rd party support. The Wii simply couldn't handle the 360 or PS3 games so it was usually left to 1st party or shovelware. The leftovers.
With the U, it at the very least matches the current gen tech wise meaning publishers are going to port games over to the U along with the 360 and PS3. And then it still has its 1st party line up on top of that.

Re: E3
They should have gone with that rumour and called it Nintendo. That would have made the majority from all sides happier than Wii U.
