So been planning on getting my father a decent PC to run games for Xmas.
Case - HAF 912 Plus
i5-2400 3.10GHz
Motherboard - Asus P8P67 LE
RAM - Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 4GB
500GB HDD

All I'm waiting for is the CPU and Case.

If you get an extra code for Dirt 3 I'd gladly take it. My dad loves racers, especially Dirt so he'd love it.

Re: Nearly there.
A nice chunk of change. Roughly €600 without delivery charges. Best thing is to realise that once you have the initial PC built, it'll be a very, very long time before you ever need to consider doing it again if you pick decent parts. It's just a case of swapping parts for newer parts when they need an upgrade. And some parts you never really need to change. Like the DVD Drive and case and fans. I would just add more HDDs rather than replace. SSDs are a long way off from being affordable to a mainstream market. Or at least one that's a reasonable size.skitty wrote:Ghost wrote:skitty wrote:How much would a PC like that cost you?

Anyway, everything came except the CPU which should have come with the case. I emailed them and they emailed back saying it's gone missing somewhere in delievery so they'll send out another. By the looks of it, they've already sent out the replacement. Pretty fast response.
Case is really nice too. Cable management is a breeze.
